Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in an LA Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The influential video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
