Performer Refutes Anti-Vax Stance Following Lending His Voice To Controversial Pandemic Film

Liam Neeson has provided his narration to a recent film that questions the legitimacy of vaccinations and praises one-time government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Disputed Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is inspired by a bestselling book published by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that the illness was linked to a bad strain of the flu vaccine.

The book's co-author, the executive producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone media personality the Infowars host. He recently posted celebrating Neeson's participation in the documentary.

A Strong Statement

The team of Neeson have provided a comment strongly denying implications that he supports anti-vax views.

"Everyone can acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the drug industry, but that cannot be confused with being against vaccines," the comment reads. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, against vaccines. His considerable work with Unicef highlights his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the actor was not involved in crafting the film's editorial content and that inquiries about its claims are best addressed to the producers.

Major Assertions Within the Documentary

According to the documentary, the voiceover read by Neeson features several strong statements:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have called for "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "science has become highly influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • It takes aim at stay-at-home orders, saying they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it references a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Historical Context and Ongoing Debates

The film also references a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the topic of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

Recently, Kennedy directed the national health agency to alter its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is also referenced in the film, even with a recent study from the WHO stating no such link has been found.

A Previous Record of Support

Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The film finishes with Neeson's voice saying, "This is not the finish of our journey. It is the start of a new chapter."
